Brierfield - Near Burnley Brierfield Site Map

From the M65 leave at junction 12 and turn right off the motorway and turn left at the B&Q rounsdabout. After 100 mtrs. turn right at next roundabout onto A682 (towards Burnley) for about three quarters of a mile to the traffic lights. Turn left into Halifax Road, up the steep hill, past the Snowball pub until you get to a cross roads (Lane End pub on your right).
OPTION 1; If you have a heavy trailer and don`t fancy the hill in front of you, turn left for 0.5 miles, past a school on your left, then branch right where the road forks with a post office in the middle of the fork. 30 metres later turn right into Halifax Road (yes the same name as before, but a different road!) and follow it until the Sun Inn/Hare and Hounds crossroads, than see below.
ALTERNATIVELY: If you are still happy after looking at the hill ahead of you, Go straight across and up the hill `till you come to a T junction, turn right onto Nelson Road. After about half a mile at the cross roads (Sun Inn & Hare & Hounds) keep straight on, proceed with caution as the road is very narrow.
Half a mile after crossing a river, then going sharp right between houses, the main road turns a sharp right. You should KEEP STRAIGHT ON into Shay Lane. (If you come to the Roggerham Gate pub on your left, you have missed Shay Lane). Keep straight on, across a cattle grid and then just before going into the farm yard turn left along the track to the quarry.

Catlow Quarry – Near Burnley - Catlow Quarry Site Map

From the M65 Junction 13 heading from Blackburn, take the 3rd exit at the slip road roundabout and pass under the M65.

Take the 1st exit off the next roundabout heading onto the A6068. Continue straight across a mini roundabout, at the second mini roundabout turn left onto the A56 (Leeds Road). After approximately ½ mile you come to a double mini roundabout (Hour Glass Pub on right). Turn right at into Walton Lane. At the next mini roundabout turn right into Marsden Hall Road.
Turn left at the next mini roundabout into Bakerhouse Road. Continue along this road until you see a sign for “Coldwell Activity Centre”, turn right continuing along Bakerhouse Road. Follow the road up the hill until you come to a T-junction. Turn right into Southfield Lane, go past the Shooters Pub on your left. After ¼ mile turn left onto Crawshaw Lane, turn left after the farm buildings into the site entrance.

Halmer End (Redhall Farm) - Near Stoke / Newcastle-Under-Lyme - Halmer End Site Map

From M6 Junction 16, take the A500 (duel carriage way) towards Newcastle & Stoke, take the 1st exit sign posted Audely & Alsager and turn right at the junction onto Alsager Road. After 1 mile bear right at the mini roundabout onto B5500 towards Balterley. Take the 4th left into Limbrick Road sign posted Shraley Brook (Approx. 1 mile (The turning is just before a bridge over the M6) (Carr Lane is the 3rd).

After just over 1 mile turn right into Red Hall Lane. Pass the 'Authorised vehicles only' sign and follow track until you see the signs. It is a tight turning circle so long vehicles have permission to use the farm yard to turn round enabling better access to field.

Lostock Social Club - Near Northwich - Lostock Social Club Map

From the M6 Junction 19 head towards Northwich on the A556 at the after 2 miles take the A559 towards Northwich (Manchester Rd) pass over the Canal bridge and take your first left into works Lane. Take the first turn on the left before the railway bridge and this leads you to the social club car park.

Mow Cop - Near Congleton - Mow Cop Site Map

From the M6 Junction 17 take the A534 to Congleton. At the first round about you come to take the 3rd exit onto the A34 heading south. After approximately 1 mile turn left at Astbury into Dodds Lane, follow this road for 1 mile then turn right immediately after crossing the railway bridge into Moss Road. Continued below………….

Top Site
Follow this road for approximately 2 miles, the site is on the right at the top of the hill. Please remember to close the gate behind you.

Bottom site
Follow this road for approximately 1 mile and turn right into Fence Lane. The road takes a sharp left, follow it round and turn right at the crossroads into oak lane. The site is on the left before you get to the railway bridge.

Nantmawr Quarry – Near Oswestry - Nantmwar Quarry Site Map

Heading south from Wrexham take the A483/A5 to Oswestry. From the Oswestry by-pass, at the Mile end Roundabout take the second exit onto the A483 signed for Welshpool. At Llynclys turn right (by the White Lion pub) onto the A495 sign posted for Bala. Look for Nantmawr Quarry brown tourism signs – Turn right opposite Hanson Quarry onto Blodwel Bank. At the next T-Junction turn left onto Nantmawr Bank, The site entrance is on the right after ¼ Mile.

Rushton Spencer - Near Macclesfield -Rushton Spencer Site Map

At the junction of the A54 and the A523 just south of Macclesfield, head south along the A523 towards Leek. After approx. 3.2 miles turn left at the Royal Oak pub signposted for Meerbrook. Turn immediately left into Sugar Lane and follow for approx. 0.3 miles. Take the left fork at the post box and after 0.1 miles turn left into Wormhill Farm drive. Follow this road to the farmyard and the entrance to the site is between the farms outbuildings.

Whitworth - Near Rochdale - Whitworth Site Map

From the M62 Junction 20 turn left heading for Rochdale. At the first roundabout bear left onto the A664. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A58. After 1.5 miles turn left at the Homebase superstore onto the A671. After 3.5 miles you enter Whitworth village. Look out for a building with a sign attached with the word “TRAIN” on it. Turn left at this point into Tong Lane. Follow this road past a pub, past the crown reservoir on your left and the entrance to Whitworth Quarry is 3-400m on the right.
